PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE #1

I am currently reading a blog by trevor dean. He is a photographer and a great one at that. He has recently published a post that challenged us to go and do some night photography. So I wanted to try it, I read up on night photography from many different places on the net and went out with my camera. I only have one lense for my camera right now and that is the canon EFS 18-55mm F.3.5, it is a good lense but obviously not the best you can get, But needles to say I wanted to try it. I took about 50 pictures in total, between 3 different locations and found two that I thought were decent enough to post to my blog. It is something I want to keep working on but as for right now I will be concentrating on my portrait photography. I had a blast doing this challenge, I drove around in the car looking for places with lights, had the music on and focused for a few minutes of the pure joy of trial and error as opposed to being stressed to get the perfect shot for that family shoot. It really brought me back to my roots as to why I loved photography in the first place. Well here are the two pictures. Enjoy, and feel free to leave some positive reinforcement. For now,

  1. Hey Alyssa! Just came across your blog and was totally caught off guard when I saw this post :) It's so nice to know that I've inspired even one person to go out and challenge themselves! Great job on the assignment! although it wouldn't even matter if you ended up with any photos at all...

You got the point of the exercise (whether you knew it or not)... and that was to find a new way to be inspired or invoke passion into your craft! And I'm so glad you did :)

    Keep up the great work!
